For those who want to go out in Nashville, it is very apparent just how expensive this city can be. Fortunately, there are many ways to have a blast in Nash on a tight budget.
One of the largest museums in the country features over 15,000 years of art, history, and culture that makes this state what it is today. The museum is also famous for its extensive Civil War exhibits and is, of course, free of charge!
Built in 1897, this full-scale replica of the famous Parthenon in Greece is not only a strong, eye-catching structure located in the well-maintained Centennial Park, it also serves as Nashville's art museum. Featuring a collection of 63 paintings by American artists from the 19th and 20th centuries, entry into this exhibit is only $15 for adults.
Speaking of Centennial Park, a free five-week concert series will be held here for the 17th year in a row. Starting in late August and going through September, you can find a large variety of local vendors, artisans, and sick tunes to jam out to with your friends and family.
Are you hungry but don't want to pay downtown prices!? Same. The farmer's market is not only free to browse, but also offers a wide variety of food options, including great local produce that is way more affordable than what you will find in touristy restaurants around the city.
Believe it or not, there is, in fact, a way to go to Broadway without spending a truckload of money. The Honky Tonks on lower Broadway typically have no cover charge, allowing you to see live music at a lower cost. Layla's is a popular spot due to its fair prices and good service compared to other bars on Broadway.
Once you have tired yourself out from Broadway and dancing, Shelby Park features free walking and biking trails that are both relaxing and beautiful. The nature center hosts events that seek to teach both locals and tourists about the combination of natural and urban landscape that the city calls home.
Last, but certainly not least, we have a local favorite. This bar features a huge variety of arcade games and reasonably priced drinks. Many of these games are classics for you old school gamers, as well as every pinball machine to ever exist (probably). Adults have even been known to get in for free on certain occasions.
